Buckingham County picked up a solid win over Altavista Tuesday night
The Knights (4-0) edged out the host Colonels in the Altavista Christmas Classic, winning 51-49 with a strong fourth quarter that erased a slight Altavista edge at the end of the third frame.
Cam Johnson notched 16 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead the effort. He also dished out three assists. L.A. Briley and Tarian Ayers continued to anchor the Buckingham backcourt, finishing with nine and 11 points respectively. Briley registered six assists in the effort while Ayers had eight rebounds and a pair of steals.
Tariq Bartee also got into double figures with 11 points while Timmy Randolph notched six rebounds.
Devin Woodruff led Altavista with 16 points.
Buckingham clashes with Liberty-Bedford tonight at 6 p.m. in continued action at the Altavista Christmas Classic.
