Buckingham softball run-rule’s Cumberland

Behind offensive onslaught and another outstanding game in the circle from Libby Morris, Buckingham County rolled to a 10-0 five inning victory over Cumberland for its first James River District win of the season.

Morris stuck out 10 batters and walked only one and gave just two hits in her complete game victory. Morris was also 3 for 4 at the plate with a double and two RBI. Savanah Gough was 1 for 2 with a solo home run. Robyn Davis was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Chelsie Shoemaker was 3 for 4 with a double and three runs scored. The Knights had 15 hits in the win and made no errors defensively.

Buckingham (6-0, 1-0 JR) hosts Richmond Home School today at 4:30 p.m.
