Charlottesville’s field hockey team apparently knows how to get a season started.

The Black Knights rolled Liberty-Bealeton 7-0 Monday night.

Maddy Eure score two goals while fellow senior Nell Ackerman scored one.

Kendall Dowdell and freshman Emily Blow had a goal each while Hollis Camp helped trigger the offense with two assists. Marie Therese Schneider and Emily Lichtenberger each had an assist.

CHS gets a chance to go to 2-0 when it hosts Fauquier Thursday night.
