Louisa roughs up Spotsy

After a bit of the slow start offensively in the first half, Louisa County turned it on in the third quarter to cruise to a 27-0 win over hosting Spotsylvania.

The Lions defense dominated the Knights for all four quarters as they held the home team to a measly 124 yards while forcing a trio of turnovers.

Offensively, all four scores came on the ground with Anthony Hunter running for three touchdowns and Rayshawn Jackson contributing another. Hunter put the Lions up 6-0 in the first quarter when he capped a drive with a 4-yard run.

Midway through the third quarter Jackson made it a two possession game with his 21-yard run.  A few minutes later, Hunter struck again, this time from 62 yards out before capping off all scoring early in the fourth with another 4-yard TD.

Hunter finished with 16 carries for 128 yards while Jackson got 51 yards on his five touches.

For the second straight game Chris Colvin led Louisa in tackles with eight on his own and three assisted. Brandon Ornduff had five tackles, two of which came for a loss. He also came up with an interception.

The Lions will host Courtland on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
