Monticello volleyball falls to Spotswood

Monticello gave top-seeded Spotswood about all the Blazers could handle Wednesday night, forcing Spotswood to a fourth game after the No. 5 Mustangs won game two.

But it was enough as Spotswood shut the door 3-1 on Monticello, winning 25-21, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Michaela Tolley led the Mustangs with 13 kills while Zimako Chuks blasted eight kills. Allie Perez finished with 29 assists. Simrin Goodman paced the Monticello back line effort with 17 digs.

Monticello (8-10) faces Turner Ashby match in Thursday’s Conference 29 tournament third-place match.
