The Western Albemarle boys tennis team notched picked up its eighth straight win of the season and its seventh straight in the Jefferson District with a 9-0 win over Fluvanna County on Thursday.
Tom Lewis and Ross Oliveira found themselves at the top of the ladder and performed admirably in their roles as they picked up 10-6 and 10-4 wins respectively. Gray Evans, Ahmed Khokar, Devin Politis and Timmy O’Shea also got some work and all four won by six or more points with Evans earning the only 10-0 sweep on the day.
Western (8-0, 7-0) hosts St. Anne’s-Belfield today at 5 p.m.
