Western Albemarle completed an out-of-district sweep of R.E. Lee by hitting the road and beating the Leemen 3-1, 25-15, 17-25, 25-15, 25-23.
Maggie Kooken had a big night putting together a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs to go with a trio of blocks. Maggie Spindel added nine kills, four blocks and two digs. Both Devon Via and Laura Bergin had four kills. Bergin also added a dozen digs. Via had four blocks. Setter Lauren Reifsteck had 23 assists to go with eight digs and three aces. Abi Wagner contributed 10 assists too and also had three digs.
Western (3-0) will host Fort Defiance on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
