Covenant volleyball advances to BRC title game

Covenant volleyball rolled unbeaten through the Blue Ridge Conference regular season, and so far the Eagles are making short work of the conference tournament as well.

Thursday, Covenant beat Virginia Episcopal 3-0, winning 25-14, 25-15 and 25-13.

The win vaults the Eagles into the BRC title game Saturday.

A balanced offense lifted the Eagles, with freshman Cara Hamil notching nine kills while junior Katie Low and eighth grader Kerrigan Poindexter had eight kills each. London Constant powered the offenses with 22 assists.

Hamil, Peyton Garber and Delaney Poindexter each had five digs while Katelyn Duprey ripped off seven aces and Constant had four aces.

The Eagles will face New Covenant in the BRC title game Saturday at 3 p.m.
